I finished reading Shakespeare's Julius Caesar last night. It was better the second time through. Spoiler alert almost everyone dies in the end, just as they did in real life. Brutus, Cassius, their friends and fellow conspirators...all dead.

Caesar, however, did not die in the end. He dies in Act III. ("Et tu, Brute?")

I read a Barnes and Noble edition I picked up a decade ago. The edition posts on the right-hand page the play's text, while on the left it lists notes of explanation, either for language or for historical context. It makes reading Shakespeare easier and a bit educational and, surprisingly, enjoyable. If you find yourself with the opportunity to read a play by the Bard, this is a helpful way to do it.
